Born and raised in NYC, Brett grew up around experimental theater, modern dance, and an eclectic variety of music. After relocating to the Twin Cities with a BA from Hampshire College, Brett developed her kinetic editorial style that combines energy, movement, and magic whenever possible. During her 20+ year career Brett has cut Super Bowl spots for Target, won multiple AICE Awards, and further honed her skills on music videos, shorts, and the independent feature, Four Boxes.
Additionally, Brett publishes Conduit, the only magazine that risks annihilation, with her husband, the poet, William D. Waltz.
Brett is honored to have her work featured on Free the Bid, an organization that champions the perspective and inclusion of female Directors, Editors, Colorists, Composers and DOPs in advertising.
